Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between relaxation massage and Registered Massage Therapy?
Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is a regulated healthcare profession in Ontario. RMTs perform clinical orthopedic assessments and utilize evidence-based soft tissue manipulation to treat specific injuries, muscle dysfunctions, and chronic pain syndromes.
Does deep tissue massage have to hurt to be effective?
No. While deep tissue work can produce a "good hurt" as tight fibers release, treatment should never be unbearable or cause you to tense up. Our RMTs continuously check in on your pressure preference.
Can you directly bill my extended health benefits for massage?
Yes! We offer direct electronic billing to major Ontario insurance plans, meaning you only pay whatever co-payment or deductible is required by your policy.
How often should I get a massage treatment?
For acute injury recovery, 1 to 2 sessions per week for 2–3 weeks is recommended. For ongoing wellness, posture maintenance, and stress management, a session every 3 to 4 weeks is ideal.
